At some point in our lives, we’ve had to pull an all-nighter, but before you get behind the wheel, think about the impact you might have on the road.

Drowsy driving occurs when a driver hasn’t had enough sleep due to things such as sleep disorders, night shift work, use of drugs or medications, or the drinking of alcohol. Drowsy drivers are less likely to pay attention to the road, have a much slower reaction time in braking and steering, in addition to other types of impaired driving. Drowsy driving is a serious problem in the United States, especially in traffic-congested areas such as Los Angeles. The more people on the road, the greater the chance that someone will be injured.
