It’s not been long since modern printing took birth. A look into the history of printing reveals that it was only towards the end of the 1930s. However, what this generation means by printing is digital printing and it’s the newest member of the printing family. Inkjet printing (1951) was followed by laser printing (1969) and finally modern digital printing. Digital printing uses the techniques of both inkjet and laser printing, its biggest advantage is that printing plates are not needed. Also, printing requests less than 1 could be placed (quite unlike the other techniques).

Talking about modern printing techniques, some, need a special mention. They arem3D printing – for toys or kids’ books, flexography – for repetitive papers (as in gift wrappers, etc.), and LED UV printing.
